birthday blessing season

At our house after Christmas we have birthday season. we have 4 birthdays before mid February. So we eat our feel of cake and count our blessings!

First to have a birthday is Peyson. He turned 3 this year and is such a cute little thing. He has such a funny personality. He LOVES to cuddle and love. He has hit his horrific 3s and throws great tantrums and his new favorite thing to tel l me is "No". but luckily he is cute and we forgive him! He is starting to talk a lot more and seems to do so all the time, if he is not talking he is singing. One sunday while Colby was preaching he lays in the pew and starts singing in his loud but cute voice "lets go to the hop!" If he wants something he is extremely talented that he can say "momma" for hours until I answer him! He also likes to mix songs up and sing them to his own tune. He loves Diego and already wants to go to school and thinks he is going to play tee ball and basket ball this summer. He checked out healthy at his 3 year checkup, his heart murmur is still very clear but as long as he stays healthy they are not going to check it again until he is 5.

When I was pregnant with Peyson I prayed for one that looked like his daddy and I got him! He looks so much like his daddy and those sweet brown eyes make me so happy!

Next in the line up is baby Reah. And technically I gues she is not a baby in more because she turned 2! But she is my baby and so I will continue to call her baby reah. Having our youngest turn 2 has blessed us with some milestones. We no longer have to buy infant and childrens tylenol, sometime this year I may have 0 kids in diapers (for the first time in 6 1/2 years), and before I know it I will no longer need diaper bags, sippy cups, or even strollers! Reah is definetly our baby. Her siblings love her and let her get away with way to much. She is the happiest thing and loves to laugh and make us laugh (even though she can give the naughtiest looks ever.) She also loves to dance, which causes us great laughter! She can be a bit of a bully and knows that Peyson is the easiest to pick on. If he is sitting on the floor she can easily walk up behind him and get him in a headlock and take him to the ground. where he stays, screaming until one of us pulls her off. She takes great pleasure in doing this over and over. Her 2 year check up showed her to be in great health, she is the smallest of our kids, only in the 17th percentile in height and 23rd in weight. But she is small and mighty! She is a bit delayed in some areas, such as speech but she meets with a speech therapist and we are blessed to have helpers come into our home to work with her. I am not really too concerned about this, she understands everything I say and follows directions well. I think she is just taking her time, soaking it all in!

My bubbly, happy baby girl

Bryant is the 3rd birthday of the month and he turned 4. For some reason Bryants birthday is always a bit difficult or bittersweet for me. He is the only one of my kids that I have absolutely no idea what I was doing on the day he was born. The others I have a vivid memory of the day they were born. It is such a simple thing, but for some reason drives me crazy. which is a little funny because most of the time I really do forget that I did not give birth to all of them. When I was telling Colby about how I felt he said "I know what you where doing the day he was born, we were at the hospital." lol which just goes to show that he forgets too!
Bryant is a such a joy, he has such a funny personality. His little brain just works all the time. He is constantly on the go (which unfortunately means that he gets in trouble a bit more), and the only time he sits still is if he can curl up in your lap. He loves his brothers and sisters and his favorite thing to do is play with them. he really does not have a favorite toy, his favorite is just whatever he can do with someone else. He does really love Orcas after visiting Sea world this summer. He get so excited that when i plan fun things my favorite part and the part I look forward to most is usually his reaction. His new favorite saying is "I think we have a problem here" and he says it about everything. I believe I have mentioned many times his talent for making water jump to the floor, which has been a talent for about 3 years now! He makes me laugh daily and we are so blessed that he is our boy!
